I like the ring of 'Sin, but in the FPE almost everyone was saying 'Ass'. I thought it was amusing, and I now call them 'asses' in the spirit of parody.

I just use Sin. I think the short form "Sin" was duped from Ragnarok Online, but I could be wrong. Asn could work, but that sounds like some short form for Asian. Well, Cantha is asian though...

In a couple games I've played, Assassins were abreviated 'sins. I honestly can't think of a better way to abreviate it than that. Of course Ass will aways be a good way to do it too.

UHhm, why not just Assassin? i mean seriously, it's easy to type and if people weren't lazy they'd find it's easier to put assassin than to debate what it should be

I have a buddy that is a ass/mo. And have no problem saying monk and ass lfg.

He wanted to be a ass/nec but decided to be a ass/mo.

There has been an Assassin in Diablo 2 for several years now, and ASN was settled on long ago.

Wa, mo, mes, ele, nec, ra, rit, all fairly easily syllables to bootstrap into your english. Asn? That doesn't work! Can you pronounce "sn" without loading it up with schwas? How do you say it? Does it come out something like Asian?

Yes, it does come out as 'Asian'. It kind of fits into the background of Factions.

Of course, it could be 'ah-sin' or something. Short forms of words don't have to sound like it's..uh..wannabe word?!

I just call them asses for comic effect. In abbreviated class form its "A/*" or whatever.
